Our next read will be Alex Through the Looking Glass (published under the title The Grapes of Math in the US) by Alex Bellos who becomes the first author to have had 2 reads in our book club. As usual we will have a chat of roughly an hour on Tuesday 28th July at 8pm (BST). After this we will continue the chat as a “slow chat” until Sunday 2nd August when we will choose a read for September. This will enable those in other time zones to join in more easily than at present. As always you are welcome to tweet along as you read, please remember to use the hashtag #mathsbookclub in all your tweets so people can see the conversation with a quick hashtag search. Any tweets you can out put to help us advertise the bookclub would be much appreciated.
Hope you enjoy the book.
Some gems in store for Maths bookworms in the rest of 2014. We’ll see if any of these draw the interest of our members enough for nominations for one of our future reads!
NB: We haven’t read any of these books nor been asked to promote them, they’re merely the books that have piqued my interest whilst online browsing.
If any of you read these books and would like to contribute a guest book review for our blog, please get in touch via Twitter.
Some interesting bits and bobs which may be of interest as you read along with our October choice.
Drum roll please! Our October read will be…
You know the drill. You have until Sunday 3rd August, 6pm to vote for your choice in the poll at the foot of this post. Go!
A few extras for you whilst you read our July book.
